2022 saw a return of competitions to all UK tennis clubs including Launceston and other Cornish tennis clubs.
I am pleased to say that pupil participation has seen a lot of progress and this is further enhanced by participation in competition.
The Launceston mini and juniors will have a chance to progress again with this formula in 2023.
It is fantastic to be staging competitions again after the pandemic and I am very excited about a lot of our players as they are showing a real appetite to make further progress.
The adult coaching on a Monday morning and Tuesday evening continues to be popular amoungst club members and I do hope it continues to give you the skills and options you need to implement progress within your clubs sessions and matches.
I always try and keep the sessions fun and competitive and I truly believe that this is what the game should be at all levels.
On another note I have been delivering weekly sessions to Launceston College this term and looking to run a primary schools tennis festival in the Spring. It is important than we offer tennis to the community in order to attract and retain new and existing players.
I am happy to give up my time in order to help Launceston tennis club move forward with more players and with a good coaching and competition programme on offer I hope to retain these players which should see the club benefit via membership and participation in all areas.
Wishing all members of Launceston tennis club and there families and friends a very merry Christmas 🎄.
