Launceston Tennis Club

Thursday the 1st of June Wadebridge tennis club hosted the Road to Wimbledon under 14 singles and under 18 doubles.

A beautiful clear sky, warm sunshine was matched by some entertaining tennis with Atticus Felstead taking the honours in the boys singles and Henry Wight the runner up.

The girls singles was won by Marky Shanks (Launceston) and the runner up was EJ. Biggadike (Launceston).

The under 18s doubles was won by Alex Holland and Ernie Rix of Wadebridge with Finn Worth and Zach Hopkins of Launceston in the runners up spot.

The girls event was won by EJ.Biggadike and Molly Hobbs, runners up were Ruby Wilton and Emily Strawbridge all from Launceston.

The winners will now move in to the county finals and in some cases the runners up. The county winners will be playing at the nationals at SW19 Wimbledon in August.
