The LAUNCESTON TENNIS CLUB members and their families gathered at the home of Ruth and Graham Cornish in Laneast for a Presentation Evening. After a delicious dinner, President Mike Warne presented trophies to winners:

• Men’s Singles - Graham Worth, r.u. Kevin Worth
• Ladies Singles - Sarah Statton, r.u. Ruth Cornish,
• Men’s Doubles Graham Worth/Jon Vague, r.u. Kevin Worth/Adam Baker,
• Ladies Doubles - Sarah Statton/Annette Carr r.u. Brenda Hooton/Katy Paynter,
• Mixed Doubles - Tim Mitchell/Katy Paynter, r.u. Rod Wood/Hilary Rhodes,
• Men’s Plate - Rory Carr r.u. Peter McAughey,
• Ladies Plate - Hilary Rhodes r.u. Brenda Hooton,
• Junior Boys - Rory Carr r.u Adam Baker,
• Junior Girls - Hayley Frayn r.u. Emma Baker.
• Girls under-11 - Poppy and Tilly Yeo were equal winners with Bronte Frayn as runner-up:
• Alan Wood was the winner of the Boys under-11 with Henry Cornish as runner-up.

It was also a fundraising evening and approximately £200 was raised for the new tennis courts planned for the College grounds.
