Launceston Junior Easter Open 2023
A overcast and blustery day did not deter a record entry at Launceston tennis club.
Ronnie Shanks of Launceston was a home winner in the mini red event. The orange event and green event were of a good standard and visiting players took the honour.
The under 14s girls event went to EJ.Biggadike who overcame club companion Mary Shanks in a final round robin match, EJ came from a set down and won in a close match play tie break, Mary and EJ both attend Launceston tennis club.
The over 14s was won by Ruby May of the Channel Islands who's brother Jowan was the winner in the boys event.
In total 38 players pushed each other and brought out the best in each other in every event. I would like to thank all the players and there parents for what was a memorable day.
A big thank you to my fellow coach Rachael Stacey who along with myself oversaw another successful tournament.
