Air Ambulance fundraising

Tennis Club Supports Cornwall Air Ambulance raising 169.03

21 children from the age of 3 to 13 joined in the tennis afternoon on Monday 14th August to have fun and raise funds for the Cornwall Air Ambulance. The afternoon started with a variety of challenges to suit the ages, volleys for the older ones, won by Mary with 156, to bouncing the ball, won by Blake with 44. This was followed by targets: aiming forehands and serves at targets for the older children, won by Luca or hitting into the numbered targets for the younger children, won by Adam.

Matches were then played by those who wished. The mini orange group was won by Ronnie, the greens by Noah and the yellow ball by Isaac. Many thanks to Finlay, Josh and Ali plus family members for helping.

In the evening 14 members turned up to play singles and test the speed of their serve against Chris’ radar gun. Sam won the singles with Fin runner up; Sam also had the fastest serve at 90 mph closely followed by Marc 86 and John 82

Many thanks to Julia for providing the Cornwall Air Ambulance prizes
